Colocation Hosting
Overview
If you already have your own server and someone to administer it then Colocation Web Hosting is what you are looking for. A Colocated plan is a partnership between you and a Web Host where you provide the server and they provide the rack space and connectivity to get your machine up and running online. This type of service saves your company the cost of maintaining an expensive datacenter or direct connection to an Internet backbone. Bottom line, if you are looking to house your own server in a professional Network Operations Center, clean and secure, then going Colo is for you.

center is monitored 24/7 by qualified technicians and all services come with a 30-day guarantee.
Call 800-903-9327 to discuss your specific colo needs and pricing.
02. Velcom
Don't provide much information about their company or colocation services, but do have a quote
engine. After entering different sets of requirements such as server count, we found their price
range to be between $700 and $1,500/month for colocation web hosting.
03. Superb Hosting
Offers single rack and full rack colocation hosting options at their network center in McLean, VA
(just outside DC). Single rack space has two levels of service that starts at $65/month while
full rack space is a minimum $575/month.
04. Infinology

its facility located in Los Angeles, CA. Pricing ranges from $99/month (with a six month
contract) to $1,099.
05. NetNation
Being part of Hostway certainly offers financial credibility. Has colocation centers located

the website. Pricing ranges from $159 to $649/month with bandwidth add-ons available from
$.50 - $1.00 per gigabyte (GB).
06. Corporate Colocation

low as $40/month with no term contracts and no set-up fees. They also offer monthly
specials. Colo server space is provided by Equinix in Los Angeles, CA.
07. Webhosting.net
Prices start at $50/month for one rack unit and range to $849/month for a full rack in
"standard rackspace." Meanwhile, if you want rack space in the NAP of the Americas facility
in Miami (one of the world's largest Network Access Points), there is a premium: 1U is $80/month
and a full rack is $1,400.
08. Easy CGI
Provide a nice comparison chart that makes it very easy to review the three colocated service
plans. Prices range from $80 - $240/month and include a guarantee of 99.9% network uptime.
Colocation space is standardized at 1-2 rack space units and is located in a 15,000 square
foot operations center in Pearl River, NY (just north of NYC).
09. ColoServe
Another colo specialty firm that is part of ServePath, thus carrying the same 10,000% Guaranteed
Service Level Agreement (SLA). Offer more of an "a la carte" menu but pricing starts at $129/month
for single server space. Their network operations center is located in San Francisco, CA.
10. NYI
Are you located in the Big Apple? Then check out the New York Internet Company with two
data centers in NYC. Costs are provided through a custom quote engine, but prices look
to start in the $300/month range. Looking for cheap prices in New York? Foooogedabotit . . .
Their website does provide an excellent colocation FAQ.
